Precious Treasure
by on 7/9/2009 8:06:21 PM

This little vase graced our parents home for many years.
I so enjoyed painting this!
Look for it in future paintings! (sometimes maybe even barely to be seen---like "Where's Waldo?").

Also this week, I worked on a larger painting.
Below is SHINE ON ME.

Thanks for looking!

Shine on me jumped off the screen at me and overshadowed all. Such a beautiful picture. The family treasure is nice, I look forward to seeing it in the future.

"Precious Treasure" brings back fond memories for you of your beloved parents, and for me, a fond memory I have of the time we went to the Webster Street market together and saw a colorful, knit hat made of the same colors as "Precious Treasure". It was such a "Donna" hat, reflecting your love of color, as does this painting. So we both enjoy this painting, but for different reasons. :)

"Shine On Me" is breathtaking, one of the best you've ever painted. I can't help but think of that scripture that says, "May the Lord cause His face to shine upon you." His face is shining all over this painting!
