« "TWO" NAVAJO paintings go to COLORADO!!! | Main | Old Painting, New Driveway & Memorials »
On the Dock
by on 7/7/2010 9:26:47 AM

ON THE DOCK, a 6 x 8 inch acrylic on canvas panel, was fun to paint.  Painting is more fun now since my Elin Pendleton workshop in Georgia and my lessons with Chuck Marshall.   Both instructors have opened my eyes to several improvements.  Do you see improvements in my work?  I hope so!   Add your comments below.  Tell me what you are seeing.

Lovely.
I couldn't find last weeks picture. Guess I did something wrong. Saw it now. Want to see it in person since it adds to the beauty of the art.

Very nice how you captured both the heat of the day and the weather in the trees and the movement of the water. I can picture mysef there but mostly, I can FEEL myself there.

I am enjoying the blues and greens you are using. It gives the painting a very cool, refreshing look in the midst of a hot, humid summer. If I could just dangle my toes in that water... :)

I do like the after!
The boat pops, and the extra contrast gives interesting places to look at.

How are the Marian paintings coming?
Can't wait to return to class in Aug.
