Path to the Pond

I have so many wonderful friends to go outdoors to paint with!  We all have backpacks which makes it easy to get some fun hiking in as well as paint to record our experiences!  This painting was done at Charleston Falls.  Pauline and I hiked for almost 30 minutes just scouting out areas to find just the right spot.  As we were walking along this path to the pond, the bright sun was filtering its way through a field of daisies.  It captured my heart.   I had to record it for history.   I hope it captures your heart as well.

Just scroll down to leave a comment (I think it's your turn.  You know you've secretly always wanted to do that.........go ahead..........have some fun!).

Glad you like it, Kathy.

I'm glad you have these memories and I hope you will think about making new memories and take some walks now in your adulthood. So relaxing!

Donna, the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this painting was Proverbs 4:18 - The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. Today, when I meditated on it again, a second scripture came to mind: Proverbs 3:17 - Her (Wisdom) ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. If ever there was a path that looked pleasant and peaceful, it is in this painting. I truly love this work of art that you have created for us to enjoy. It is wonderful.

Rosalind,

Thank you again for your insightful comments. I did feel an awestruck glorious peace when I came upon this path. The light was almost blinding. The presence of the Lord was there, saying to me, "Stop, rest in My Glory."
