WEEKLY PAINTING for June 28
by Donna Pierce-Clark on 6/27/2008 8:23:40 AM

I'm back!  I needed a break.  We lost our grandpuppy and it threw me for a bit.  So many losses lately!

BUT!  I am painting with a group of pleinair painters in the Urbana area, which is very therapeutic for me.  Here is the latest result:

I'm also  painting with my good friend, Marsha Elliott, from Covington, Ohio.  We always have fun as we trade "grandma stories," and paint.
We enjoyed this day at
BUCK CREEK MARINA

The sun was bright, and the clouds were fluffy and gorgeous!

Here is another painting done with the Urbana Painters Group.
SUMMER SHADOWS ON BAUER HILLSIDE
(click on painting for more information)
was done at Bauer Farms, where my new friend, Jane Bauer sells wood and pellet stoves.  Such a beautiful place.  Thank you, Jane!!

Another day painting with Marsha
at Kiser Lake, Ohio.

We began painting at 8:00 AM!

I so wanted to catch this early morning sunlight on the cover of this row boat.   Kiser Lake is a quiet, pleasant place to go!

BESIDE TAYLORSVILLE DAM
(click on painting for more information)
was done later in the morning, around 11:00 AM.

Marsha and I enjoy painting in the early mornings
when we can get away from laundry, cooking and other daily activities which we do on a regular basis for the ones we love: our dear husbands, children, grandchildren, and pets.
Life is short.
Enjoy it all while you can!

Hi Donna- It was great seeing all your paintings. I'm glad you are getting out so much. Can't wait to hear about your trip up north. I thought about it. We also have a wooden boat but things are just getting complicated and it's hard to leave right now. I will be with you in spirit. Hope it is not too hot or rainy for you. Enjoy! Loved seeing the painting at the farm. Jane

Donna, Your paintings are lovely. Buck Creek is probably my favorite. The water is just gorgeous. Ohio Caverns is also one of my picks. The peace that is depicted in your works is such a blessing. Jan

I missed your paintings. I am sorry to hear about your pet!
I love your paintings, especially the one at Taylorsville's Dam. I love the beautiful hues of green and blue (purple)! Keep up your paintings - they're great!

Your painting of Taylorsville Dam is alot nicer than the scene I remember. Good job! I'd say it was because of the Fredix canvas but I know better. You could turn a brown paper bag into something beautiful!

As for Kiser Lake...the beetle is lurking! :)

Donna,

I'm so glad that your "Weekly Paintings" are back. They provide me with a break from the craziness of the day. In addition, your work is beautiful and I enjoy visiting each one.

God Bless!

I admit, I have not been on this webpage in a long time... however it was another joy to see It is such an important topic and ignored by so many, even professionals. I thank you to help making people more aware of possible issues.
Great stuff as usual....
