At this exhibit, I will have many abstract and some impressionist watercolors executed on YUPO, and a few on Arches watercolor paper. A rather new substrate for watercolors, yupo is a type of plastic surface that actually "somewhat" resists the application of watercolor, causing the colors to float and meander over the surface as it dries; whereas, Arches absorbs color. Each surface has its own unique properties and challenges!!

DIRECTIONS to Synesthesia
I-675 S to the Rt. 48 Kettering Centerville exit. Turn left at the top of the exit, so you'll be going south on Rt. 48. The main intersections you will cross are Alex-Bell, then Rt. 725/Franklin St. (the heart of Centerville), and Spring Valley. Continue going south until you get to the end of the shopping center on the right where the Elder-Beerman store is located. Look to the left and you will see O'Leary's Irish Pub and the Centerville Family Dentistry, which are on the corner of Marco LN. Turn left and we are the 3rd building on the left - can't miss us!

EXHIBIT: Pleinair Belles

At this exhibit, I will have many abstract and some impressionist watercolors executed on YUPO. A rather new substrate for watercolors, yupo is a type of plastic surface that actually "somewhat" resists the application of watercolor, causing the colors to float and meander over the surface as it dries. There are surprises galore with this substrate. Initially, I desired to "tame" this wild beast with many types of textures, etc. But, now, I'm letting it do what it wants to do more and more.
Opening (June 24) following the Summer Equinox Concert (begins at 7) (Charge for Concert is $5 for members $10 for non-members and this includes wine and refreshments)
From the North: Brukner Nature Center is located just 5 miles west of Troy, Ohio off of State Route 55. To reach the center, take exit # 73 off of I-75 and travel west on State Route 55 for approximately 2.4 miles. Turn right onto Horseshoe Bend Rd. and the entrance to the Brukner Nature Center will be 2.1 mi. down on the right.
From State Route 48: Turn left onto Horseshoe Bend Road you will go through the horseshoe bend. It is quit steep and narrow. You may want to follow 48 to State Route 55, turn east onto 55 to Horseshoe Bend Road. Turn left onto Horseshoe Bend Rd and follow it 2.1 miles to the entrance.
From South: Take either I-75 or State Route 48 and follow the above directions.
