YUPO WORKSHOP
Synesthesia Gallery 35 Marco Lane Centerville, Ohio
March 27 (9-4pm) March 28 (1-5pm)
$50 includes yupo paper & more! Contact Donna to sign up!
Left to its own, watercolor on yupo can
meander and wander all over the paper,
drying into sometimes undesirable shapes, lines, etc. Taming this reaction and forming it
into a "realistic" image has been one of my goals for years. At the
same time, it has always been my desire to leave some of those swirling, loose
qualities visible. That sometimes,
leads to a luscious abstract quality with a zing of realism.
"I am liking your expressionistic paintings more and more, especially since you told me you paint what is inside you and then the Lord tells you what to call it when you're done. That is so fascinating to me. You use such rich colors and there is an "energy" coming from each painting. I am so looking forward to visiting your exhibit in Centerville."
In this workshop, you will learn about the
power behind all paintings: basic
design, composition, and dynamic color combinations. You will learn how to “tame” this paper-paint reaction into
either a recognizable image, create an abstract painting, or something
in-between. The choice will
be yours. Donna will show
you how!
Come and ENJOY "TAMING THE
WILD BEAST OF YUPO!!!"
DIRECTIONS to Synesthesia
I-675 S to the Rt. 48 Kettering Centerville exit. Turn left at the top of the exit, so you'll be going south on Rt. 48. The main intersections you will cross are Alex-Bell, then Rt. 725/Franklin St. (the heart of Centerville), and Spring Valley. Continue going south until you get to the end of the shopping center on the right where the Elder-Beerman store is located. Look to the left and you will see O'Leary's Irish Pub and the Centerville Family Dentistry, which are on the corner of Marco LN. Turn left and we are the 3rd building on the left - can't miss us!

COMMENTS FROM SOME STUDENTS-----------
Good morning Donna,
I just viewed the class demo on the website. I very much enjoy viewing your paintings. Can only say WOW!!! I am so excited about taking your classes...I am becoming comfortable there. I think I can now gain the confidence that I have lacked. Thanks to you. I do believe God has led me to this class. Blessings to you. Thanks so much for your prayers. Julia (2010)
